How to save text to speech as an MP3
Paste the text, tap Speak if you want to hear it first, then tap Save. The app writes a WAV file and an MP3 on the phone and lists the clip in History, where you can play it or share it.
Save a clip
- Open Home and enter the text. The limit is 5,000 characters.
- Choose the voice you want in the file. A System voice and a Natural Voice can both be saved.
- Set the speed now. The file uses the speed you picked. Best quality is 1.0× speed and 1.0× pitch.
- Tap Save. The app writes the audio on the phone. Natural voices show a short “creating natural voice” step while they generate.
- Open History. The new clip is there, grouped under Today.
What WAV and MP3 mean here
WAV is the full audio file the app always writes. An MP3 is created from that WAV so the clip is easier to share. History prefers the MP3 for playback when it exists, and falls back to the WAV.
If you only needed to hear the sentence once, you can skip Save. Speak does not keep a file unless you save it. Clearing the editor does not delete a clip you already saved.
Play it again or send it
In History, tap Play to hear the clip. Tap Share to open the Android share sheet and hand the file to another app, such as a message or a drive folder. The file goes only to the app you pick.
Delete one clip from its row, or use Clear all to remove every saved recording. Deleted clips can be undone from the notice that appears right after. History holds up to 50 clips. Older ones drop off as you pass that count.
Limits worth knowing
- One save is one clip, up to 5,000 characters. A longer script needs more than one save.
- The app does not publish the file to the web. Sharing is manual.
- Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage, removes History and the audio files.
- Natural Voices must be downloaded before you can save in one of those voices. A System voice can be saved without that download.

Questions
Where does the MP3 go?
It stays in the app’s private storage and appears in History. Other apps cannot browse that folder. Use Share to send the audio to the app you choose.
Can I save without listening all the way through?
Yes. Save generates the audio file on the phone. You do not have to finish playback first.
