Hindi text to speech on Android
Download Natural Voices, choose a Hindi voice — Alpha, Beta, Omega, or Psi — paste Hindi text, and tap Speak. Those voices run on the phone after the download, so they keep working offline.
The four Hindi voices
The Natural Voices pack includes four Hindi speakers. The in-app descriptions are short, and they are the right way to tell them apart:

Speak Hindi text
- Open Voices and download Studio HD or Lite. Hindi is in both.
- Filter the list to Hindi, or scroll to Alpha, Beta, Omega, and Psi.
- Preview the one you want, then set it as the voice.
- On Home, paste Hindi text. The editor holds up to 5,000 characters.
- Tap Speak. Use Save if you want a WAV and MP3 in History.
Speed still runs from 0.5× to 2×. Pitch stays natural for these voices. Best quality is 1.0× speed.
If you would rather use the phone’s Hindi voice
You do not have to download the pack. Install Hindi voice data in Android’s text-to-speech settings, then choose the System voice in the app. That voice follows the engine on your phone. It may be online, and the sound will not match Alpha, Beta, Omega, or Psi.
Use the pack when you want one of those four speakers, or when Hindi has to work with no connection.
Tips and mistakes
- Use a Hindi voice for Hindi sentences. An American or British voice is built for English.
- Keep punctuation. The app pauses on sentence breaks instead of reading a comma-free block in one breath.
- A mix of Hindi and English in one sentence may sound uneven, because each natural voice is built for its own language. Split mixed lines if the result is hard to follow.
- The app does not translate. It speaks the words you paste. If the text is in English, you will hear English words, even on a Hindi voice.
